Our approach to fiction
First, you tell us about your book because we want to know what you think it’s about. We want you to tell us about your characters, the houses they live in and the jobs they have. We want to get inside your mind. Then we’ll read it through your eyes and through ours.
Get your work seen
If you’ve set your sights on conventional publishing, a solid submission is the key to open that door. We’ll work with you to craft a submission letter with the right comparative titles, positioning statement and market data to grab the attention of an agent or even an acquiring editor. Because the first step to a bestseller is getting out of the slush pile.
If you’re self-publishing, we can help you stand out from the crowd with the right jacket copy, catalog copy, BISAC codes and other supplementary material so you can focus on your masterpiece.
Copyediting and proofreading for fiction
The downside of publishing your own book is that you don’t get an editor assigned to you to make your work better. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have one.
Like an assigned editor, we’ll evaluate your manuscript from a narrative perspective and tighten it up so people will want to read it. Finally, we’ll comb through it to find and fix every inconsistency, every mistake and every poorly structured sentence.
